“Are you thinking the same as I do?” Luke heard Caspian murmur so low that a human wouldn’t be able to hear what he said.
“Depends on what you’re talking about.” Luke had an idea about what Caspian referred to. It was probably the same thought that he’d had ever since he laid eyes on the sweet-scented human currently talking to Daxton. Luke was desperate for a taste of him, so it wouldn’t surprise him if Caspian felt the same way.
But Luke knew it was better to wait until the human had delivered the papers Daxton had just signed. Daxton would be furious if they messed up this deal.
“How about we grab him later this evening?” Caspian’s suggestion showed he must have read his mind.
“I’m in.” Luke tried his best to ignore his beast, urging him to grab the human and run for the hills.
“I’ll ask the others if they want to join us. But I bet all of them are just as eager for a piece of a virgin ass as we are.”
Luke stiffened at Caspian’s words.
“You think he’s a virgin?”
“I sure do. He’s so nervous around you that he can barely focus. I sense innocence, or maybe only one female partner in his past. After all, he thinks he’s straight, so his attraction to you must puzzle him exceedingly. But we will soon change his mind about how straight he really is. As long as our Alpha agrees.”
Daxton seemed to know exactly what they were talking about, and he gave them a nod. He had probably heard the whole discussion, Luke thought. Their Alpha’s abilities were increasing every day. Particularly after he found his fated mate. Maybe a mate had that sort of effect.
If so, Luke would like to find his. Right now, he could barely control himself or hold back the wolf inside him, urging him to come out and go for a long run. He felt his canines elongate, and he turned away, taking several deep breaths to fight back the urge to shift. His Alpha would never allow him to lose control in front of a human.
As Luke turned back to their guest, he noticed Daxton look as if he found it funny that Luke couldn’t control himself properly. The grin he sent him was much too knowing for Luke’s sense of ease. Normally, Luke was the calmest among them. It was one of the reasons Daxton had asked him to become his second in command. But right now, Luke felt little of his usual calm. Instead, it was like his skin was burning or itching with something unfamiliar. His pulse quickened as soon as Jonah came closer. And watching the human throw a cautious look toward Caspian and the other alphas made Luke want to step in between them to protect Jonah from harm.
It was bizarre. He had known these men for years. He knew they would never harm a human. Fuck him, sure. But harm, no. Not unless he asked for it during sex.
Arousing images of the man bending over for him flipped through Luke’s mind. He could easily picture how he would walk up behind him and watch while he steered his thick cock between his ass cheeks and found his hole. Luke shook his head and tried to breathe in fresh air to calm himself.
